Hi there- I happen to love the background, as I am a sax player, but can we do something about the font? It's so hard to read this now. Thanks!

Does anyone, by any chance, have a copy of the first clarinet version of Puszta by Jan Van Der Roost that they can send me?

Hello everyone! I'm was surfing through communties and found it. And I'm a self declared band geek.

Concert band- went from clarinet--> bass clarinet

Marching band-pit percussionist

And piano.

So as you can see, I like band. (understatement perhaps?).

Some people ask how you can get so involved with band and music in general and I dont know what to say. I just love playing in a big band and creating this amazing sound. Partly it comes from listening to soundtracks of movies with symphony orchestral music-- it creates this feeling.. it can tell a story.

What would you guys say to someone who asked you that? (in bold). I'd like to know your opinions.. since you're all in the same position.

Hello. My name's Steph amd I'm a freshamn at East Detroit High School. Figured I'd join being that I absolutly love band.
I started off playing trumpet. After two years, I switched to baritone. After about a year and a half, I switched to tuba, which I'm curently playing. I'm able to play random things on trombone and french horn with a pretty good tone. I love brass. ^_^ Also, I'm learning electric bass. Music is my life.
Being that I'm only 14, this is my first year in high school, thus my first year in marching band. I absolutly loved it, nothing can compare. In October, we attended the annual marching festival. (I'm drawing a blank as to what it's called..err) We recieved straight ones, it was so awesome. The music we played was a selection of Carmina Burana by Carl Orff. (The arrangment is about an hour long...we only played 3 pieces which was about 15 minuets...it was great though!)
That's really all I have to say, except..
My friend Emily and I recently created a community for brass players, check it out and join while you're at it! slidesnvalves

Happy New Year Everyone!
