Perfect Pitch [Jun. 30th, 2005|03:46 pm]

Thought you guys might be interested in this since you play instruments.
I hope it's okay that I'm promoting a community here. If not, I'll delete this.

Do you wish you had perfect pitch? DO you know someone who does? Do you want to know more about it? Do you ever question what it's like for people who have perfect pitch, people who can pull notes out of thin air? Well, if any of these things apply to you, or you are just feeling like joining, hop on over to
and see what the fun's all about!
Hope to see you there!

So... what's on everyone's band calendar for the spring?

So far, we're been to Washington, DC for the National Cherry Blossom Parade, and the four parades of our local Daffodil Festival (I'm in Sumner, WA, btw). In two weeks, we'll be in the Sequim Irrigation Festival Parade, and then in June it's the Portland Rose Festival, which is a parade, field show, and jazz competition all rolled into one weekend.

Any alto clarinets? [Mar. 4th, 2005|07:29 pm]

[Current Mood |soresore]

I'm switching from bass clarinet to alto clarinet next year. Does anyone know anything about it?

I know the fingerings are the same as clarinet and bass clarinet.

Any information would be appreciated!

Hi everyone! I have this music community called Soul of Music (http://www.livejournal.com/userinfo.bml?user=soulofmusic) and I believe I mentioned it before but  I just posted about the NY Philharmonic which I was lucky to hear. And as this for the band geeks (Rock on!), I thought some of you may be interested because the Philharmonic is a symphonic orchestra.

Check it out if you're interested.
